Ichi Rittoru no Hamida
=D guess who's back? hahas, okay. hms, update. i think my life is really boring, so instead of boring you out with it. i shall spend some time talking about a new drama i've watched. hehhs. (: im sorry that im a drama addict, and a book addict and a music addict and a chocolate addict. and oh, the list runs long. XD
lets start from, erm. well, tuesday? i studied math th whole day. HAHAHS. yes i did, completed all my math homework so far. and i totally hate e math, so many qns dont know how t do. amath is so much better.

wednesday, i went t SGH t do cip w jas. =D jas is good company. hehhs. anyway. we met 1030am and took shuttle bus t th hospital, then reported. they allocated us at a retail cart first. so we mainly helped to sell things and collect money etc. it was kinda bad cos we're two people who absolutely hate promoting things. it's weird! so anyway, we got through it. hehhs. we ate lunch at Polar cakes and puffs. (: cos apparently you dont find much nice stuff at a hospital. tsk. then after that they allocated us to some reception place t do admin. so we stapler stuff and stamp stuff. kinda fun. cos we were laughing throughout. and we managed to catch up on alot. sometimes you get so busy you dont even have time t talk t your clique about deeper things. LOLS. yeaps. then we finished up at 4 plus pm. then took a train home. (:

thursday, (my life is really boring, even during th holidays.) i studied abit. then decided t watch a new drama serial. and since my jap kinda sucks and if i don't improve im going t die fr O lvls (if i make it), i decided t watch a jdrama (aka dorama), hehhs. so i searched for good ones. and this one caught my eye, 1 Litre of Tears. why? firstly, irwin mentioned it t me last yr but i nvr got across t watching it. secondly, it was ranked 3rd on some dorama web. which means it's pretty good. thirdly, i read th short synopsis and thought it was really touching. fourthly, i thought th actress was really really photogenic. and th main actor was kinda hot. (: HAHAS. so apparently, i like doing research b4 i watch something. did a quick research on th drama, very good response. and its based on a true story. so i happily watched it.
damn, it was good. i cried on th first episode. totally unexpected. and i cried on every, EVERY episode. but thats cos im overly emotional. irwin was like "huh, i didnt even cry at all." fine. so anyway, i spent thurs and friday watching it. since it's like 11 episodes only i finished it already. but because there's a 3 hour special that was aired in japan in april this year, i'm left with that bit t watch. and since it was so soon, not a single website has it w eng subs. which kinda sucks since my jap is still so basic. but i managed t find one w chinese subs. so well, beggars can't be chooser. im downloading th torent now. so gotta wait. sighh.
okay, yaye im done with update. so those who have totally no interest in dramas, you can stop reading here. because im going t start ranting on Ichi Rittoru no Hamida, my new found love that i must talk abit about at least. (:

Ichi Rittoru no Hamida, 1 Litre of Tears
General summary: (Based on a true story.) It's about a girl, Aya Ikeuchi (real surname is Kitou) who is 15 years old when she found out she's diagnosed with an incurable disease called Spinocerebellar Degeneration (Atrophy). A terrible disease where the cerebellum of the brain gradually deteriorates without affect mentally. So from being perfectly healthy, good in basketball, intelligient and cheerful, Aya slowly looses her ability to walk, talk, write and finds difficulty in eating without choking easily. Hence, she slowly becomes wheelchair-bound then bedridden where she has to point on a japanese hiragana chart to convey words she has t say. But she lived life to the fullest until her death at 25.
The story script is based on the diary Aya kept writing until she could no longer hold a pen. The book that later followed entitled “One Litre of Tears" sold over 1.1 million copies in Japan alone and so far 18 million worldwide. (: i know i sound like im promoting it right now. hahas. =D but thats fine. Anyway, th romance in the story is only abit. (If im not wrong, th romance part is fictitious.) It's between Aya (Sawajiri Erika) and Kawamoto (Matsuyama Kenichi - the guy who acted 'L' in deathnote, you get to see him almost bald. HAHAHAS.) and more on Aya and Haruto (Nishikido Ryo - th kinda cute guy). hahahs. Anyway, th story really motivates you alot, when you see all the setbacks she encounters, people who stare at her and think shes retarded etc, her will is really strong. And her one and only wish was "to live". Theres alot about how she impacts her family, school and even her doctor (another cute guy) despite knowing her disease is incurable. (:
This is the real Aya Kitou, i think she really motivated me alot.
Because of her, i'm going to think twice about my purpose in life.
Life is not that short and not that long, so why not live it fruitfully. (:
I intend to purchase her diary, One Litre of Tears when i can find it. =D

In japanese, the word "like" is very strong. Saying "i like you" means alot.
hahas, so let me teach you how to confess your love in jap,
say "watashi wa ____ san ga suki desu" hahas. fill th blank with th name of th person.
Haruto crying after reading Aya's "love" letter, saying she's giving up their relationship because she thinks she's not worth it.
Aya's wish for Haruto is to "live on".
Th last part of th last episode when Aya passes away abruptly.
Okay, thats about it. I promised short even though i would like to talk about it more. (: Cheryl rates this dorama 5 stars, because its not draggy, not overly emotional (like some korean dramas which make you laugh at th plot instead of cry) and it's on of those rare dramas that actually motivates you about life. (: Aya's story has impacted millions, so why not let it impact you too? =D Th part where i tear th most is th end of every episode, where they quote something from Aya's diary and show photos of her. You really wonder why th disease picked her.
In conclusion, th OST is really nice too. Listening to th song b4 watching th drama already makes you cry. HAHAS. If you're free, watch this:

okay. hehhs. just came home from cg meeting. was kinda good. kinda fun. (: we took our cg photo. cos xiu said next year during june, the photo shall have more members. LOLS. and instead of watching other cgs share their testimony, w341 will share theirs. =D yaye.
And fabian ding insisted to send me home AGAIN. i was like "what are you doing?" when he said bye to joel at his stop. and he said "doing what i did last time." and he said i was stubborn when he's th one! anyway, as usual i got suaned on my way home. first for my height, then for my age then for my PSLE score which was lower then his. and he PINCHED me, like real hard cos my hand was red after that. cos i said he wouldnt dare and he DID it! and then he suaned me for my chinese pronounciation. tsk. what a horrifying journey home. hahas. then he asked me who my boyfriend was. LOLS. so obviously its pay back time. (: he was really persistent in asking if joel and i were dating. HAHHAHAS, so i used my special method. i said "go ask joel, he's your brother." then he shut up on th topic. LOLS. i dont know why it works, but he wont ask joel. LOLS. so victory is cheryl's! and i dao-ed him on th rest of th journey home. total yayeness.
hms, plans for th week? tmr morning im going to watch my 1 Litre of Tears Special cos i finished downloading. total yayeness. then im going for BS at 145pm, coffeebean. hahas. svcs have been moved to expo hall one, so people going for svc, please DO NOT go to hall 8 and seat there waiting for th service to start. LOLS. that would be hilarious to watch. XD hahhas. then i have t report for usher at 330pm. yeaps. then sunday, anlene orchard mile. (: cass and i volunteered. total yayeness again. hahhas. and daph and i signed up for aviva ironman triathlon. more yayeness coming. for some reason we enjoy volunteering for these events. good experience and kinda fun. (: yaye.
okay, i think i should stop. hehhs. cheryl can talk non-stop. LOLS. okay, time for bed. =D tmr is a lonnnng day. it's ironic how you tell people to take care and you fall sick yourself.
