Post-Christmas
konbanwa! =D
i kinda drank a mocha frappacino from starbucks just now. so still abit awake. and i thought if i did a mass update tmr it might be too scary and wordy. so heres an update from my malacca trip till now. (: sorry for being late, quite alot of homework to rush. Miss Last-Minute is my name! hahs. you might have to click to enlarge the pictures, but don't worry i resized them smaller from my digi cam. =D faster loading, but big enough for veiwing pleasure!
Basically, 4 families went tgt. we stayed at this hotel called Makota. i always stay there while im in malacca, because one of the families is related to this man called Uncle Diamond who owns a unit there. (:
The view from the balcony, the left shows a relcaimed island further offshore. there was actually a project for a small resort, but its typical Malaysia to have abandoned projects when they run out of money. so its kinda a deserted place now. quite sad cos it's a pretty island. the right is just another view. the shoreline is actually a mangrove swamp. its a pretty view in the morning basically, air is quite fresh. (:
This is just some random artificial waterfall that i thought was kinda pretty, so my sis snapped a shot while we were in the car. (:
anyway, we spent most of the time shopping, so there was some christmas decor at the shopping centre. (:

oh yea, and one of the highlights of malacca is really the night market. its very very crowded. but its really worth a trip. you get to see alot and buy alot of nice things. (: its like only on weekend nights. this whole road is closed. and people set up stores. its just like closing orchard road and lining it with street stalls. (:
Then we walked past this pineapple tarts shop. and there was this huge pineapple tart! don't worry, the tart is not from 2004. LOLS. they rebaked it this year in sept i think. the sign says so. i look kind of crappy in there cos its the end of the day and i was kinda tired. =D
anyway. shopping wasn't that productive. i didn't feel so spendrift. so the most expensive thing i bought was this MNG cardi. its pretty and gold. i wore it for the masquerade ball which i would blog about tmr after i get all the photos. hehhs.
this is a random shot of the series of books i have been reading. (: SWEEP by Cate Tiernan! from the titles you can tell is some magical story. its kinda witchcraft. but very interesting. =D and its not like Harry Potter, and im not a HP fan. i think this series is better than HP. (:
anyway, i cant rmbr much about what happened after i came back to SG. i know i went to nic's house to bake Xmas brownies. which was quite a success except for the first batch which was slightly burnt but still yummy. the 2nd batch was a nic & cheryl creation, we called them dalmation brownies. cos we tried to make 2 layers, one of white chocolate and one of dark chocolate. the layers werent so distinct but it was the yummiest batch according to feedback collected. HAHAS. and 3rd batch was simply normal choc brownies without nuts.
oh yea, and theres Xmas service which i ushered for last sat. the drama was nice as usual. but my fav is still the lighting of candles after the drama. its so pretty to see a whole hall of people with lighted candles. and the part about passing the flame is so heart-warming in a way. (: oh yea, and i killed my feet with the new 3-4inch heels ): had some saddening blisters but dori was sweet enough to get me some plasters. (: thanks dori!
yeaps, and there was the part about falling sick. one of my worst since i havent been sick for a long time. my bro spread it to my sis who spreaded it to me. i had a flu/cold with sore throat, kinda bad cough and slight fever of Xmas day. hahas. and so i overslept and didnt go for svc. and it was kinda lucky that JY overslept too. since i was suppose to meet her at 11am and i woke up at 12. (:
anyway, i had a stay at home christmas with my family. hahhas. and im dying for a drive thru orchard road to see the xmas lights this year. guess its gonna be one of these days, i pestered my dad. (: and he complained about the jam. but i told him if theres no jam you would drive so fast i can't see anything! =D ahhas.
okay, it's almost 4am. bedtime! i promise i will update tmr. (: since i celebrating 3 birthdays tmr over dinner, there might be more photos. (:
